Disney has plans to expand that "galaxy far, far away."

The company has already announced a new Star Wars trilogy. Now it has unveiled plans for two, stand-alone spinoff movies. Each of those movies will be written around a specific character.

At this point, those spin-offs are scheduled to be released after Episode 7 which is due out in the summer of 2015.
