SANDUSKY -- Police in northern Ohio say a 12-year-old boy and a 15-year-old boy were taken into custody after a man reported they attacked him while he was at a school playground with his children.
The Sandusky Register says a police report alleges that the younger boy charged the man and punched him in the face and that the older boy threw a shot put ball in his direction.
The 32-year-old man said the Sunday attack began after he asked why the boys were staring at him. He said he put the younger boy in a headlock before escaping to his car.
The boys were taken into custody for assault and disorderly conduct. Police say the older boy admitted throwing the ball but said he wasn't aiming for the man.
