ELYRIA -- The Ohio State Patrol says a motorcyclist was hit in the rear by a Chevy Silverado early Sunday morning.
The accident happened on State Route 82 just before 1:30 a.m.
Troopers tell Channel 3, that Kevin Runyon hit Curtis Porter while they were traveling eastbound.
Porter was ejected from the motorcycle and came to a final rest on the roadway.
Runyon fled the scene only to come back several minutes later.
Runyon was wearing a seatbelt. Porter was not wearing a helmet.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the fatal accident.
Charges are pending as a result of the investigation.
