EASTLAKE -- A mother charged with child endangering pleaded not guilty in court Tuesday morning and demanded a pretrial hearing.
Prosecutors charged the mom with two counts of child endangering after police were called to the family's home on May 1.
A utility worker told police a child was in the backyard being attacked by a dog.
Police were called to check the home. When officers arrived they say they found the mother visibly intoxicated. Officers took the mother into custody.
The dog in the incident was a family pet and the boy was not hurt.
