BEACHWOOD -- A reminder for drivers that if your morning commute Monday took you through Beachwood, put down that cell phone.
After a month of warnings, police will ticket distracted drivers starting Monday.
The city's law bans talking and texting on cell phones and using other electronic devices, like GPS, while driving.
It's a primary offense, so you could be pulled over if an officer spots you on the phone. The fine is $101 and two points against you on your driver's license.
Hands-free devices are fine, as long as you keep both hands on the wheel.
