CHARLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A 35-year-old truck driver from Virginia died in a Portage County crash early Friday morning, highway patrol says.
Corey Mullins, 35, of Glade Spring, Virginia, was headed west on State Route 5 just east of Knapp Road in Charlestown Township, when his semi truck crossed the center line, striking a car.
The truck went off the south side of the road, hitting several trees before landing on its side, just before 1 a.m.
Mullins died in the accident.
The driver of the car, Patricia Cobb, 49, of Warren, was taken to Robinson Memorial Hospital. Her injuries are not life-threatening.
That area of S.R. 5 remains closed this morning. There is no timetable on when it will reopen.
