BEREA, Ohio -- Like almost every other kid in Texas, Browns kicker Phil Dawson grew up dreaming of playing for the Dallas Cowboys.
Dawson had a "Doomsday Defense" poster hanging on his bedroom wall, his father had season tickets and the 37-year-old veteran has vivid memories of legendary Cowboys coach Tom Landry's final game.
Dawson, who has made all 17 field-goal attempts this season and 23 in a row, is excited about returning to home this weekend when the Browns (2-7) visit the Cowboys (4-5).
Dawson has had to buy dozens of tickets for family and friends, but said "I'm about to close down the ticket office. I can't afford many more."
Just as his dad did, Dawson's oldest son, Dru, has his bedroom decked out in Cowboys colors "and obviously Browns helmets."
