The Cleveland Police Athletic League collects toys for needy kids every year but they are coming up short this year.
Last year, they served 3,000 kids but this year they are up to 4,500 kids.
The problem is, they're coming up short on donations to buy toys so Channel 3 is donating $500 to help them out.

The event is this Saturday and they still need 2,500 toys.
Organizers say a lot of their regular sponsors from last year didn't come through and they have been struggling to find new sponsors and donations.
Anyone interested in donating a toy can call the PAL office at (216) 687-9135 or the fundraising coordinator at (870) 421-5579.
PAL also accepts monetary donations through PayPal at the Police Athletic League website
