AKRON -- Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh said that Judge Alison McCarty sentenced Joseph R. Litten, 31, of Barberton, to 20 years in prison.
Litten must also register as a Tier III sex offender, which requires lifetime registration.
On July 16, Litten sexually assaulted an 86-year-old female acquaintance. DNA on various items of the victim's clothing matched Litten.
The victim was able to identify her attacker and testified at trial. A jury found Litten guilty of rape and kidnapping, both felonies, on Jan. 18.
