Rio Grande, Puerto Rico (Sports Network) - Fabian Gomez and Scott Brown each
set a new 54-hole record to share the lead at the Puerto Rico Open.
Gomez fired a 7-under 65 on Saturday, while Brown carded a 5-under 67 to bring
them both to 18-under 198 following three rounds on the Composite Course at
Trump International Golf Club, besting Kevin Streelman's mark of 199 set in
2010.
Blayne Barber (66), Brian Stuard (66), Jordan Spieth (67) and Steve LeBrun
(70) sit in a group tied for third place at 14-under. Spieth's day included
his first hole-in-one on the PGA Tour at the 192-yard 11th hole.
Ryo Ishikawa also recorded his first ace on the tour at the eighth. He
finished Saturday's third round with a 6-under 66 to jump into a tie for
eighth place at minus-12.
Morgan Hoffman (68) is alone in seventh at 13-under.
