COLUMBUS -- State Rep. Bill Patmon (D-Cleveland) says new funding has been awarded to Cuyahoga Community College for needed repairs and improvements to several campus facilities.

The first project consists of replacing the existing 250KW uninterrupted power supply, including battery replacement, with a more efficient and cost effective power supply.

Tri-C will also be replacing the existing 10-ton air handling unit which services the UPS Room on the Metropolitan Campus. This air handling unit equipment is also obsolete.

The second project is fabrication and installation of exterior informational and directional signs at the Eastern, Metropolitan, and Western Campus.

The scope of that work includes installing signs at the campus entry points, double-sided parking lot identification signs, secondary vehicular directional signs, single message parking lot identification signs, and pole mounted parking field identification signs.

The total cost for these projects is $435,890. Funding will be split between the State and local sources.
