EAST CLEVELAND -- Mayor Gary Norton Jr. addresses the state of East Cleveland and gives his views on how the city can move forward.
In his address, Mayor Norton said 300 vacant homes have been demolished and he plans to level 100 more this year. He also plans on taking down some of the large, vacant apartment buildings in 2013.
The mayor said that infrastructure is important and improvements will happen soon. He plans on fixing aging water and sewer lines and resurfacing Taylor Road.
