BARBERTON -- On Wednesday, the Barberton Police Department responded to an incident where an 86-year-old woman had been robbed of her purse near the corner of 25th Street NW and Wooster Road NW.
She suffered serious injuries and was taken to a local hospital where she remains in stable condition.
Subsequent investigative leads were received which resulted in the arrest of Ricky D. Boykins, 33, and Justice A. Stewart 18, both of Barberton.
Boykins is charged with aggravated robbery and Stewart with complicity to aggravated robbery.
Both are being held at the Summit County Jail on $500,000 cash and $250,000 cash bonds, respectively.
