Las Vegas, NV (Sports Network) - Anthony Marshall and Bryce Jones-Dejean each
scored 16 points as the UNLV Runnin' Rebels rallied for a 68-64 win over the
Boise State Broncos in a Mountain West Conference duel at the Thomas & Mack
Center.
Katin Reinhardt and Anthony Bennett each added 11 points for UNLV (23-7, 10-5
MWC) which improved to 17-1 at home with its fifth-straight win.
Anthony Drmic had a game-high 22 points, Jeff Elorriaga nailed five 3-
pointers and finished with 19 points and Mikey Thompson added 10 points off
the bench for Boise State (20-9, 8-7) which had a four-game winning streak
snapped.
Boise State shot an even 50 percent from the field and drained 6-of-12 from
beyond the arc to take a 32-25 lead into the break. UNLV managed just nine
field goals on 40.9 percent shooting while making good on just 1-of-7 attempts
from 3-point range.
After halftime the Rebels improved to 44.4 percent shooting while the Broncos
fell to 37 percent. The Rebels also sank 16-of-17 shots from the free-throw
line to hold on for the win.
UNLV outscored Boise State, 28-14, in the paint. The Broncos had a 39-12 edge
from beyond the arc but were also guilty of a game-high 17 turnovers.
