BCI crews leave Kent State after dog remains found in woods

Investigators have left a wooded area of Kent State University after finding the remains of a deceased dog near Allerton Apartments.

According to the university, authorities received a report that someone was burying something in the woods. Due to the concerns, Kent State police and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation crews were called to the scene, only to conclude the remains were in fact that of a dog.

The incident occurred near the KSU baseball team's field.
