Chalk this one up to things you don't see everyday: Workers at a Rittman Goodwill store discovered a vintage handgun in one of its donation bin yesterday.

Authorities say an employee found the revolver while sorting through the bins yesterday and subsequently called police, not knowing if it was real. An officer later took possession of it, and verified its authenticity and its age of at least 80 years.

The gun was mixed in with some mail and a photograph, although it is not known if the items are related. Officials are now researching the history of the weapon in an effort to find its owner.
