GUIDE: 2022 Memorial Day parades in Northeast Ohio

Looking for something to do on Memorial Day weekend? Check out one of the many parades in Northeast Ohio.

CLEVELAND — As we mark Memorial Day, 3News has created a list of parades taking place across Northeast Ohio as the community remembers those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Below is a list of events taking place throughout Memorial Day weekend across Northeast Ohio.

AVON LAKE 

The parade is set for Monday, May 30 at 10 a.m., with a ceremony following at 10:45 at Veterans Memorial Park. 

BAY VILLAGE 

For the first time in two years, Bay Village will host its annual Memorial Day parade. The parade is set to begin at Huntington Park at 8:45 a.m.

BEDFORD

The parade is set for Monday, May 30, at 10:15 a.m. The parade route begins at the Bedford City Hall, and the ceremonies will be held at Bedford Public Square on Broadway.

BRECKSVILLE

This year, the city of Brecksville is returning to its traditional Memorial Day parade and cemetery observance. The parade is set for Monday, May 30 at 10 a.m. The route begins at city hall and ends at the Highland Drive Cemetery, where an observance will take place.

CANTON

Canton's Memorial Day parade will begin on Monday, May 30 at 10 a.m. The route will begin at the McKinley Downtown Campus and end at the McKinley Monument. 

ELYRIA 

A ceremony will begin at 9 a.m. at Ely Square on Monday, May 30. A parade will follow the ceremony at 10 a.m. and will end at Ridgelawn Cemetery. 

EUCLID

Euclid's Memorial Day parade is set to take place on Monday, May 30, at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at Euclid City Hall. The parade will last until approximately noon. 

GREEN 

The parade is set for Monday, May 30 at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at Green High School. A map of the parade route can be found here. Following the parade, a Memorial Day ceremony will take place a 12:30, and a car show and picnic will follow until 3 p.m. 

MENTOR

On Monday, May 30, the parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Heinen's Grocery Store. A ceremony will proceed the parade at the Mentor Cemetery. 

NEW FRANKLIN 

The New Franklin Memorial Day Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at the Grace Bible Church. The parade will conclude at the Manchester Cemetery, where a remembrance ceremony will take place following the parade. 

NORTH RIDGEVILLE 

The parade begins at 9:45 a.m. at the Senior Center and ends at Ranger Stadium, where a Memorial Day service will be held. 

PAINESVILLE

Unfortunately, due to the sudden Madison Avenue road closure in the township, the Painesville Memorial Day parade is cancelled. The American Legion will be hosting a short ceremony at Riverside Cemetery at 9 a.m. and Evergreen Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. All are welcome.

SHAKER HEIGHTS 

Shaker Height's annual Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony is set for Monday, May 30. The ceremony will take place at City Hall at 9 a.m. The parade will begin following the ceremony. The route will start at the intersection of Van Aken Boulevard and Lee Road. 

SEVEN HILLS 

The Memorial Day parade will begin at St. Columbkille at 10:30 a.m. and will end at city hall. At 11:15 a.m., a Memorial Day ceremony will take place in front of city hall. 

UNIVERSITY HEIGHTS

University Heights will hold a Memorial Day parade on Monday, May 30 at 11 a.m. The parade is set to begin at University Heights City Hall and end at John Carroll University. 

WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS

The parade is set to kick off at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 30. The parade route will begin on Warrensville Center Road and will travel south to the Warrensville Heights City Hall.

WESTLAKE 

The Westlake Kiwanis Club’s annual Memorial Day parade is set for Monday, May 30, at 10 a.m. The parade begins at St. Peter & George Coptic Orthodox Church and will end at Clague Park with a ceremony.
