Zac Efron is giving the world a first glimpse at him in the role of notorious serial killer Ted Bundy.
The actor tweeted a behind-the-scenes picture from the film, which is titled Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
“Meet Ted,” he wrote.
It’s being filmed in the Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky area.
Efron’s image was re-tweeted more than 11,000 times in 20 hours.
IMDB describes the movie as follows: “A chronicle of the crimes of Ted Bundy, from the perspective of his longtime girlfriend, Elizabeth Kloepfer, who refused to believe the truth about him for years.”
It also stars John Malkovich and Lily Collins.
Bundy, who was executed in 1989, killed more than 30 people.
Last year, another Disney Star stepped into the role of a serial killer. Ross Lynch portrayed Jeffrey Dahmer in My Friend Dahmer, which is a twisted coming-of-age tale leading up to his first murder. The movie was filmed all throughout Northeast Ohio -- including inside Dahmer’s childhood home in Bath Township.
