Musician Ralph Carney died Sunday in Portland, Oregon, Pitchfork reports.

Carney's nephew, Patrick Carney of The Black Keys, confirmed his death via Twitter:

Carney was an Akron native and saxophonist who started his career with the band Tin Huey in the 1970s. He's also known for collaborations with Tom Waits, the B-52s and The Black Keys.

Carney and his nephew, Patrick, also collaborated on the theme song for the Netflix series "Bojack Horseman."
