Broadway is coming back to Akron!
For the eighth year, a partnership between Playhouse Square and The University of Akron will bring Broadway classics to E.J. Thomas Hall.
The 2022-2023 Broadway in Akron series will bring these four iconic shows:
Blue Man Group
Oct. 18-19, 2022
Tootsie
Nov. 29-30, 2022
My Fair Lady
March 14-25, 2023
50th Anniversary Tour of Jesus Christ Superstar
April 10-11, 2023
“This unique collaboration between Playhouse Square and the University of Akron began nearly eight years ago,” said Senior Vice President of Programming at Playhouse Square David Greene. “Audiences have been so receptive and we are looking forward to another great season at E.J. Thomas Hall!”
Tickets for the Broadway in Akron season go on sale Tuesday, May 10.
Previous season ticket holders can renew their tickets by mail, online at playhousesquare.org or by calling 216-241-6000. New season ticket holders can be purchased by calling Playhouse Square.
All of the performances at E.J. Thomas Hall will follow the same health and safety protocols for all events on the University of Akron campus.
