SANDUSKY, Ohio -- When you climb aboard Cedar Point’s newest roller coaster this summer, you probably won’t think much about the impact Valravn has on Ohio’s economy.

But getting you on the record-breaking ride took the work from more than 20 Ohio companies that were involved in Valravn’s construction.

Clermont Steel Fabricators, based in Batavia, manufactured the track and supports for Valravn, which first broke ground last September.

Valravn -- which is the world’s tallest, longest and fastest dive coaster -- takes riders on a perilous 90-degree plunge from 214 feet in the air before twisting through a trio of inversions along a 3,415-foot course.
