Planning to cook up some smoked sausage this weekend? If it's a certain batch of jalapeno cheddar - pitch it.
Johnsonville has issued a recall of its 14 oz. jalapeno cheddar smoked sausage packages with best buy date of April 4, 2018 and Batch ID 1001124486 or 1001124487.
Plastic fragments have been found in the sausages. Three incidents have so far been reported, although no illnesses or injuries were reported.
The company is recalling approximately 109,603 pounds of the sausage which was shipped to stores in 36 states.
Packages of the item with that date should be disposed of or taken back to the retailer.
