It's that time of year -- pumpkins, hay rides, apple cider and festivals!

The places offering that see big business especially with the warmer weather.

Patterson’s Fruit Farm, out in Chesterland, is open year round, but Bill Patterson tells us they do about 50 percent of their yearly business just in the month October.

While offering a wide assortment of apples, baked goods and other foods, Patterson’s also has a fun fest going on through the month of October where kids can pick pumpkins and apples, take wagon rides, go through a corn maze and more.

Patterson says it’s everything you’d get to do if you grew up on farm…only safer.

“This is the time of year in the fall. October is busiest month of the year, we have the pumpkins going on the pick your own apples going on. Our fall fun fest is in full swing," says Patterson. "We have the bakery with the donuts and apple fritters and pies. This is the time where we want people to come out and see us.”

Patterson's farm market is open daily from 9-6.
