BRUNSWICK, Ohio — "Did you ever have one of those days where, despite your best intentions, things just don't work out the way you planned?" Mapleside Farms' recent Facebook post reads.

Despite their best intentions, Mapleside is cancelling their "Magic of Halloween" attraction.

The event featured pixel lighting, projection mapping, and fall characters. Working with a company that specializes in Christmas light displays across the country, Mapleside admits they came up "a little short" on the idea.

"We always want to provide a great guest experience, and what has come to be known here on the farm as 'The Tragic of Halloween' just didn't get it done," the Facebook post reads.

"The last thing we'd want is our nightmare becoming a nightmare for you and your family!"

Those who have already visited for the event will be receiving a refund in the full amount of their purchase this week and should be received within five to seven business days.

Refunds will include the ticket cost as well as the Farm Favorites Food Pack if purchased.

Despite the cancellation of the "Magic of Halloween," Pumpkin Village, Vino the Way, and all themed weekends will still be running through October this season. The entire Facebook post can be read below:
