Where to see Santa Claus this year and the COVID-19 precautions you need to know

Here's how you and your family can see Santa safely this holiday season!

CLEVELAND — Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus. Even during a pandemic. And since there's no way to "socially distance" a visit to Santa's lap, here's how you and your family can see Santa safely, whether it's by computer or from six feet away.

AKRON ZOO / WILD LIGHTS

Santa will be visiting Akron Zoo's Wild Lights December 4-6 from 5-8pm. All guests, ages 10 and older, are required to wear a COVID face covering at all times when in the Akron Zoo. COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place during the event. Tickets must be purchased in advance and must have a reserved time slot to enter.  To avoid overcrowding, tickets are available via time ticketing.

BELDEN VILLAGE MALL

While guests will not be able to sit on Santa’s lap, he will still be in the photos and he will still be able to chat with the kiddos and hear their wishes while social distancing. Enhanced safety protocols are in place, including a reservation system to avoid overcrowding.  Santa and all guests ages 2 & up (or state mandate) are required to wear a face covering.   Social distancing floor graphics will show guests where to stand while waiting for their visit.  There will be an increased focus on disinfecting and sanitation, including the addition of hand sanitizer in high traffic areas. Advanced reservations strongly encouraged.
