GUIDE: Veterans Day events happening in Northeast Ohio

3News has compiled a list of some of the events happening in Northeast Ohio.

On Friday, many Northeast Ohio towns will hold events to honor those who have served in our country.

3News has compiled a list of some of the events happening in Northeast Ohio on Veterans Day: 

Cuyahoga County

Cleveland Veterans Day Ceremony

  • Friday, Nov. 11, 11 a.m. 
  • Cleveland City Hall Rotunda at 601 Lakeside Avenue

Cleveland Veterans Day Parade

  • UPDATE: The parade was canceled on Friday morning due to heavy rains across Northeast Ohio 

Lakeside Avenue Veterans Resource Fair 

  • Friday, Nov. 11, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 
  • Cleveland Public Auditorium, 500 Lakeside Ave. (I.D. Required)

Cuyahoga County Soliders' and Sailors' Monument Veterans Day Ceremony 

  • Friday, Nov. 11, 2 p.m. 
  • Keynote address will be given by BGEN Peter Collins, USMC (Ret.) and wreath placement by Veterans from Ride with Valor

Cleveland Metroparks Veterans Day 5K presented by CrossCountry Mortgage 

  • Saturday, Nov. 12, 8:30-10:30 a.m.
  • Edgewater Park 
  • Registration: $35  

Lake County 

Veterans Day Tribute 

  • Friday, Nov. 11, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 
  • Old Stone School in Painesville

Mentor Honors Veterans 

  • Friday, Nov. 11, 11:11 a.m. 
  • Veterans Memorial on the corner of Center Street and Civic Center Boulevard 

Lorain County 

Veterans Day Car Parade

  • Friday, Nov. 11, 10:30 a.m. 
  • Elyria City School District's Northwood Campus
  • At 11:30 a.m. the school will rededicate an honor rock devoted to Sgt. Daniel Shepherd, who died during the Iraq War in 2004.  

Stark County 

Pro Football Hall of Fame Veterans Day Event and Expo

  • Veterans' Services Expo: Friday, Nov. 11, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

**The Pro Football Hall of Fame will provide free admission and parking to all U.S. service members, National Guard and veterans as well as a guest on Nov. 11. Proof of military service must be shown.
