A Summit County jury has found Efram Johnson, 57, of Akron, guilty on three felony counts in connection with the rape of a woman that took place in 2000.
Johnson was convicted of one count of rape, one count of kidnapping, and one count of felonious assault.
In August of 2000, Johnson lured an Akron woman into a wooded area, where he beat and raped her. DNA collected from the victim was finally matched to Johnson in 2014.
Johnson is currently serving a life sentence for the March 2010 murder of 24-year-old Jacob Courie. Courie was on leave from the Army and was shot by Johnson on East Exchange Street in Akron.
Sentencing for Johnson is scheduled for November 16.
