CLEVELAND -- Police and FBI officials say two banks were robbed on Chester Ave. in Cleveland Friday, and the description of the suspect at each location is almost identical.

The first robbery occurred at the PNC Bank, where according to the FBI, a suspect entered the bank around 10:50 a.m. and threatened a weapon while demanding money. He then fled on foot after being given an undisclosed sum.

The unknown suspect was described as "a white male, mid to late 50s, 5'6 to 5'7 thin build, approximately 150 pounds with a mustache and gray beard." He was also wearing a USMC sweatshirt and jeans.

Just three and a half hours later, a second robbery took place at the Key Bank on the exact same street. The suspect apparently walked up to the table, wrote a note, then handed it to a teller while verbally threatening her. The teller then gave the suspect money, who then left the bank and fled in what appeared to be a black Dodge Grand Caravan.

Authorities say the physical description of the suspect at Key Bank robbery matched the one from PNC, although this time he was wearing a Holy Cross Crusaders shirt under a dark colored jacket and a black beanie.

Cleveland Police and FBI are asking for any information regarding the identity of the unknown male. Tips can remain anonymous and reward money is available.
