CLEVELAND -- One of two armed robbers attempting to hold up the Taco Bell at W. 117th and Franklin was fatally shot by store employees early Wednesday morning.
By the time Cleveland Police arrived at the restaurant at 2:45 A.M., one suspect was lying on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds. He was administered First Aid and taken to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he later died.
The second suspect fled the scene on foot.
The suspects were masked and apparently ordered the employees to the floor at gun point. Three of the six employees, two 19-year-old men and a 23-year-old man, were armed and opened fire at the robbers.
No arrests were made. The names of the two armed robbers have not been released.
