GREEN -- Seven cars were damaged and bullets ripped through three apartments when 25-30 shots were fired late Monday night.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office says the gunfire took place in the parking lot of the Briarwood Estates in the 3900 block of Mayfair Road.

Authorities received several 911 calls about the incident at 11:45 p.m.

Upon responding to the scene, investigators determined the shots were fired from a fully automatic rifle and a .40 caliber handgun.

One bullet entered the headboard of a bed in which a 12-year-old boy was sleeping.

Thus far, one arrest has been made. A 21-year-old faces charges of obstructing justice and providing false information to investigators.

One of the shooting suspects has been identified by the Sheriff's Office, but his identity was not released. They say he suffered non life-threatening injuries from gunshot wounds.

A vehicle tied to the incident has been identified as a silver or grey Hyundai with significant damage to the front of the driver's side.

It's unclear how many suspects are believed to be involved.
