MEDINA TOWNSHIP -- A man was shot Thursday night while sitting in a car in the parking lot of Dairy Queen on state Route 18, according to Medina Township police.

The man has been LifeFlighted to a hospital, and two people are in custody.

Police say the man's car, a gray Chevrolet Malibu, had its driver-side window shattered by the bullet.

After he was shot, his car backed into the Dairy Queen, and the car's bumper was lying at the restaurant's entrance.

A family inside Dairy Queen when the shooting occurred was not hurt.

Police say a male they have in custody is the primary suspect. They did not provide information on the second person in custody.

Authorities say charges will be filed Friday and more details released soon.

Police believe the shooting was drug-related.
