Man shot while riding electric scooter in downtown Cleveland

CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Division of Police is asking for the public's help in identifiying those responsible for the shooting of a man riding on a scooter downtown. 

The incident happened on Tuesday evening. Around 7:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of West 3rd Street and West St. Clair for reports of a man shot. By the time police arrived, the 25-year-old victim had already left the scene and had driven himself to Lutheran Hospital.

Investigators found out that the man was riding a scooter downtown with others, when he was shot at by a man in a black Chevy Impala. The victim was shot in both legs and was eventually transferred from Lutheran Hospital to MetroHealth Medical Center. 

On Wednesday, police released photographs of the suspect vehicle.
