GREEN, Ohio -- A Toledo man agreed to exchange three rifles for gold after seeing an advertisement that one-ounce bars were for sale in Summit County.

After the exchange happened in Green on Valentine's Day, the man soon realized the gold was fake.

The victim contacted the Summit County Sheriff's Office, and identified the suspect as 29-year-old Larry Carman of Canton.

Carman was found in a Green hotel where authorities say they found the victim's three rifles along with other handguns, ammunition, narcotics and replica gold bullion. He was arrested and charged with theft.

Additional charges are pending the outcome of the investigation.
