A Parma couple is facing drug charges after federal prosecutors allege they were running a heroin distribution operation from an apartment on West 50th Street.

Michael A. Austin, 34, and Chavone Burnett, 32, both of Parma are charged in an indictment filed today with conspiracy, possession with the intent to distribute heroin, maintaining properties for the purpose of unlawfully manufacturing, storing, distributing and using heroin.

Prosecutors are seeking to forfeit $11,243 in cash seized from the two Parma addresses.

The indictment results from an investigation conducted by the Parma Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
