Maple Heights Police investigating after two men are found fatally shot

Officials believe it's possible that the men shot each other.

MAPLE HEIGHTS, Ohio — Two men are dead today after a fatal shooting in Maple Heights. 

According to Maple Heights Police, officers were called to the area of 5557 Elmwood Avenue on Wednesday morning to investigate a shooting with reports of possible fatalities.

When police officers arrived on the scene, they found two men with gunshot wounds; both victims had been shot in the chest. The two men were taken to a local hospital and both died from their injuries.

While the investigation into what happened is in it's early stages, at this time, police believe that the men shot each other.  They are only being identified at this time as being 20 years old and 23 years old.
