Gov. DeWine provides details ahead of opening of Wolstein Center mass vaccination site

The conference will begin at 5 p.m.

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine will hold a press conference from Cleveland State University's Wolstein Center at 5 p.m. on Sunday. 

The briefing, which will provide an update to the current state of registrations for the mass vaccination site, will also feature Cuyahoga County Executive Armond Budish and Urban League of Greater Cleveland President Marsha Mockabee.

The briefing comes as the Wolstein Center was pulled from the Ohio Department of Health's vaccination website as an eligible location due to appointments booking up.

Late last week, it was announced that the Wolstein Center would act as a mass vaccination site in a partnership between the State of Ohio and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The eight-week mass vaccination clinic has the capacity to administer as many as 6,000 COVID-19 vaccines a day.
