AKRON, Ohio -- Although nobody was hurt, young children were present at two Akron homes that were hit by gunfire Monday night.

The first incident happened around 9 p.m. in the 600 block of Sylvan Avenue. A 39-year-old woman was home with her 13-year-old son when shots were fired, leaving holes in her front window and living room wall.

The second shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Becker Lane. Here, a 23-year-old woman was home with her three kids who are ages 7, 3 and 5 months. The woman was in bed at the time when she heard gunshots. After going downstairs, the woman found her front living room window was broken.

No arrests have been made.
