AKRON, Ohio -- The search is over.
One-year-old Darius Heard Jr. has been found after a statewide Amber Alert was issued early Wednesday.
Authorities say the boy was dropped off at a home on 16th Street in Kenmore. He was reunited with his mother around 8:40 a.m.
"I missed you so much!" his mother, Josie Wynn, said while embracing Darius. "Give me a kiss. I love you. Say hi to the cameras."
Wynn said she's ecstatic to have her son home safe.
"This is my son. I do everything for him by myself."
After thanking police for their help, Wynn took Darius inside to cook him some breakfast.
"Eggs and bacon, baby!"

The Amber Alert, which has been canceled, was triggered around 5:20 a.m. after police say the child was "taken by force" by his non-custodial father from an apartment at 697 Callis Oval.
It happened at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday.
The suspect has not been found. His name is 27-year-old Darius Rashaad Heard Sr. He’s described as 6’1” tall and weighs 195 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Authorities say he was last seen wearing a black Nike jacket and grey shorts.
The child's grandmother spoke with WKYC's Tiffany Tarpley at the scene where she pleaded for the suspect to bring the baby back home.
"Just let Darius come home," she said. "He didn't ask to be in none of this. My main concern is just my daughter's baby, which is my grandson."
The vehicle involved is a silver Chevy Sonic, which is believed to be a later model with possible Texas plates. There is an Enterprise rental sticker on the front windshield of the driver’s side. The license plate number is unknown.
Digital billboards along Ohio highways were used to display information about this Amber Alert.
