AKRON, Ohio -- A 21-year-old man is dead after he was stabbed while robbing a home early Thursday.
According to police, the stabbing victim, identified as Decarlos Abdul Powe, Jr., was found inside a Pontiac Grand Prix parked in a driveway at the 600 block of Blanche Street.
While officers were at the scene on Blanche Street, a resident at the 1300 block of Girard Street called police to report a burglary. The resident said two armed males removed a window air conditioning unit and entered the home. The resident stabbed one of the males in the chest and the pair fled, driving to Blanche Street to call for paramedics.
Powe was taken to a nearby hospital where he died at 1:07 a.m.
The second burglary suspect, identified as 24-year-old Kesean Brown, was charged with aggravated burglary.
