AKRON -- According to detectives, they are  investigating a robbery that happened about 6:40 p.m. May 1 at the Family Dollar store at 915 South Arlington Street.

Police say that two women came in and walked around the store, picking up merchandise and putting the merchandise in their purses.

Police say an employee confronted them as they tried to leave without paying.

Police say that one woman tried to throw a punch at the employee while the second woman threatened to assault the employee.

Police say the two women drove off in a dark green, 2-door Acura with a temporary license plate. 

Police said employees described the women as follows:

One suspect appears to be 19 – 23 years old, stands about 5’05” – 5’07” tall, weighs 115 – 125 pounds with long black hair, and was wearing a red jumpsuit, purple shirt, brown Ugg-type boots, carrying a large white purse and appeared to be pregnant, according to police

The other suspect appears to be 20 – 23 years old, stands 5’05” – 5’07” tall, weighs 170 – 180 pounds, with medium-length, straight black hair, and was wearing black and white stretch pants, a PINK shirt, a white baseball hat and white shoes.
