While plenty of questions remain regarding what Major League Baseball will look like in 2022, Minor League Baseball is moving forward with its plans.

On Monday, the Cleveland Guardians' Double-A affiliate, the Akron RubberDucks, announced its promotional schedule for the 2022 season, with Akron's Canal Park set to hold its home opener on Tuesday, April 12. On that day, the RubberDucks will host a t-shirt giveaway presented by Union Home Mortgage, as well as postgame fireworks following their matchup vs the Reading Fighting Phils.
“We are excited to announce the long-anticipated 2022 promotional schedule,” RubberDucks General Manager and COO Jim Pfander said. “From the celebration of Homer, JoJos and Canal Park to all our exciting giveaways and theme nights, I think there is something each night everyone will enjoy this season. I can’t wait to see everyone back in the ballpark on April 12 to celebrate the championship and start a new season.”
