AKRON, Ohio -- A 31-year-old man is facing multiple charges for cutting a man’s face at Akron’s Hope Café on East South Street.

Police say it began when Allen Milleson struck his 66-year-old father in the face. Another man at the café grabbed a baseball bat to defend Milleson’s father. That’s when Milleson allegedly pulled out a knife and caused a “large laceration” to the man’s face.

Milleson then fled the scene on foot, but was found in the 400 block of East South Street walking behind a building.

Officers recovered the knife used during the alleged attack.

Authorities say Milleson, who is reportedly homeless, had previously been warned not to come to the Hope Café.

He faces charges of felonious assault, domestic violence and criminal trespassing.

Milleson has been booked in the Summit County Jail.
