29-year-old woman dies after shooting in Canton

Shanee Betz was pronounced dead on Monday.

CANTON, Ohio — *Editor's Note: The video in the player above is from a previous, unrelated report. 

A 29-year-old woman died on Monday after being shot in Canton two days ago. 

According to reports, officials responded to the 1800 block of Spring Avenue N.E. on Sunday, November 7, just after 11: 30 p.m. for reports of shots fired. 

While at the scene, officials were notified that two shooting victims were in the parking deck of Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital.

The victims were identified as 25-year-old Jacob Hall and 29-year-old Shanee Betz. Both of the victims had suffered gunshot wounds.

Hall and Betz were transported to the hospital by a private vehicle and their injuries were related to the incident on Spring Avenue, police report. 

On Monday, Betz was pronounced dead around 4 p.m. There is no update on Hall's condition at this time. 

The now fatal shooting is still being investigated.
