CLEVELAND -- A man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a 7-year-old girl.

The child and a 22-year-old man were both shot after their vehicle was followed from a gas station at West 106th and Bellaire the night of June 2.

A gunman opened fire on the victims' care at West 100th and Loretta. Both victims were shot in the leg and survived.

Police say the shooting appears to have been the result of an altercation at the gas station.

The girl is the child of a woman the 22-year-old male is dating.

Charges are pending against the arrested man.
