CLEVELAND -- A spokesman for the Cleveland Catholic Diocese says that Bishop Richard Lennon was in his office early Thursday morning when he felt some chest pains and then was taken to the hospital.

At St. Vincent Charity Hospital he had a heart catherization and had two stents put in. Both are routine procedures and he was back awake by noon on Thursday, the spokesman told WKYC.

Lennon came through the procedure without complications and is in good spirits and he’s grateful for all the prayers that have been offered for him, teh spokesman said.

He has been resting comfortably today and will return to his duties with the doctors' okay, which most likely will be sometime next week.
