CLEVELAND -- Have you met Lulu?

The Cleveland Zoo announced the winning name for its new baby rhino.

Lulu, which means "gem," was picked after the zoo received a $1,203 donation. The zoo held a naming contest following the announcement of Lulu's birth last month. Voters could choose a name by making a donation to Future For Wildlife.

Lulu is an eastern black rhino, which is considered critically endangered as less than 750 remain in the wild.

The name Lulu beat out Dalia and Nya, all of which are names unique to eastern black rhino regions of Africa.
