CLEVELAND -- The 2014 Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. 4th District Talent Hunt showcased talented teens from all over the state of Ohio during the weekend.

From piano and saxophone solos, to dance and dramatic interpretations, each teen shared their unique talents with a packed ballroom at the Wyndham Hotel in Playhouse Square.

WKYC's own A.J. Ross emceed the event, which granted scholarship money to the top three contestants.

Xavier Rivers won first place for a piano solo by Frederic Chopin titled "Ballade No. 3 in A-flat major, Opus 47."

Hayden Jackson was awarded second place for a piano solo by Bill Gaither titled "Because He Lives."

Craig A.J. Jackson was awarded third place for a saxophone solo by Dizzy Gillespie titled "A Night in Tunisia."

The following is a list of all the contestants who participated in this year's event:

Joshua Hargrove – representing Beta Iota Chapter, an 18 year old senior at Fairfield High School in Fairfield, OH. He is a member of Eternal Life Ministries Church with hobbies including singing, dancing, and writing. Joshua later plans to attend Christ College in Cincinnati, OH and major in Nursing.

Daisonae Martin – representing Zeta Kappa Kappa Chapter, an 18 year old senior at Whitney M. Young Leadership Academy in Cleveland, OH. She is a member of Christ Temple Bibleway Church and her extracurricular activities include participation in New Bridge Cleveland Center for the Arts & Technology Program, Cleveland Metropolitan School District All-City Choir, and track & field. Daisonae plans to attend Wittenberg University and major in Music Therapy.

Jordyn Robinson – representing Xi Iota Iota Chapter, is a 15 year old freshman at Troy High School in Troy, OH. She is a member of Zion Baptist Church and is also actively involved in the Troy High School marching band and cross country team. Jordyn plans to enlist in the United States Navy after graduation.

Taylor Wynne – representing Zeta Omega Chapter, is a 15 year old freshman at Charles F. Brush High School in Lyndhurst, OH. She attends Olivet Institutional Baptist Church and is also a member of Key Club, Care Club, the debate team, and the Brush High School marching band. Taylor plans to attend Florida A&M University or Central State University and major in biology or pre-law.

Craig A.J. Jackson – representing Delta Alpha Chapter, is a 14 year old freshman honor roll student at Stivers School for the Arts in Dayton, OH. He is a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and also participates in the Ohio State Young Scholars Program and Cincinnati Youth Jazz Orchestra. Craig plans to attend either Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA or The Ohio State University.

Ellwood Jones – representing Psi Omicron Chapter, is a 17 year old junior at Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, OH. His hobbies include singing, playing various instruments, performing with his band, and watching sports. Ellwood plans to attend The Ohio State University and major in music.

Xavier Rivers – representing Mu Iota Chapter, is a 17 year old senior at Fort Hayes Metropolitan Education Center in Columbus, OH. A member of the First Church of God, Xavier has also volunteered with Friends of the Homeless once a month for the past nine years. Xavier plans to attend the University of Denver, Ithaca School of Music or Ohio University and major in piano performance.

Hayden Jackson – representing Mu Chi Chapter, is an 18 year old senior at Shawnee High School in Springfield, OH. An active member of The Church of Jesus Family Worship Center in Springfield where he is a choir and church musician, Hayden is also a member of the Symphonic Band and Symphonic Choir at school. Hayden plans to attend Rutgers University and Major in music and business administration.
