Mike Polk Jr. on Cleveland's new Funny Bus comedy tour

If you’re looking for an interesting way to take in the city, consider hopping on The Funny Bus. They put on a good show and there’s no two-drink minimum.

CLEVELAND — Mark Twain once said, “humor is mankind’s greatest blessing”.

And that was before you could experience humor while riding around town drinking beer on a fancy old school bus.

Fortunately for the Greater Cleveland area, that is no longer the case, because we now have Funny Bus CLE-- the area’s new mobile comedy club-slash downtown sight-seeing experience.

She’s a regal, 34 seat urban chariot that’s all tricked out and ready to rock.

According to Funny Bus proprietor Dean Schnurr, people are really digging the new concept, and they're seeing a wide variety of groups booking the tour, from co-workers to bachelorette parties.

The Funny Bus Cleveland offers a unique way to explore the city, hosted by talented local comics who provide guests with both humor and history during a spirited 90-minute jaunt around town.

Our host today was the delightful John Armstrong. I asked him about the differences between performing on a large, moving passenger vehicle as opposed to a more standard stage.

The Funny Bus Cleveland tour takes passengers through downtown, Ohio City, Tremont and the Flats, and they are not shy about interacting with the community.

Contributing to the merriment is an extremely convenient (and Clevelander-friendly) libation policy that keeps spirits high throughout the trip.

So let’s raise a glass to this quirky new local enterprise!
