CLEVELAND — The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner's Office has identified a body pulled from the Cuyahoga River last week as that of 39-year old Caleb Marple of Westlake.

Marple's body was found on May 29 near Shooters in the west bank of the Flats.

Police say Marple was last seen in the late evening hours of May 17, leaving the Barley House on West 6th Street. Marple's sister later went to his Westlake apartment and found it unlocked, with his car in the garage. She filed a missing persons report with Westlake Police.

Some of Marple's friends organized a search near the Center Street Bridge days later in hopes of finding him.

"Our hopes are that we can find him today and that he is ok and that we are able to bring him home. We are not looking for a body, we are looking for him," said Christina Tran, who helped organize the search on May 23.
