CLEVELAND - If you or someone you know is looking to add a furry friend to the family, look no further than the City of Cleveland Kennel.
The kennel has a maximum capacity of 140 animal cages and currently, more than 100 of those cages are occupied. Animal Control brings in around 20 dogs every day, so adopting some of the animals out is crucial.
"The need to find these dogs a good home has never been higher," said Chief Animal Control Officer John Baird. "If you visit the kennel to adopt a dog, our employees and volunteers are more than willing to help you find a pet that matches your needs and personality."
The Kennel is open for adoptions Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. The current fee to adopt a dog is $61 and includes your pet, spay and neutering services, licenses, microchips and the first round of vaccinations.
The City of Cleveland Kennel is located at 2690 West 7th Street in Cleveland.
